REYGLOBAL LTD, on behalf of our client, a leading global shipping company specializing in RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) transportation of vehicles and heavy equipment, is seeking to recruit &nbsp;an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team at the Head Office in Limassol, Cyprus.&nbsp;The senior accountant should perform complex accounting activities and financial analysis utilizing hands-on accounting experience and in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.&nbsp;ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintaining and reconciling bank accounts on a monthly basis;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintaining, on a daily basis, the portfolio of money market placements and interest income bookings;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintaining, on a daily basis, the portfolio of derivatives (FX Forwards, FX Swaps, Bunker Swaps, etc.), recognition of revaluation gains/losses, recognition of margin calls, an all other related bookings;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Preparing local and special tax returns and liaising with the Company’s tax advisor to file before deadline;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Preparing VAT reports and liaising with the Company’s tax advisor to file before deadline;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintaining the portfolio of leases on a monthly basis by preparing the computation sheet of IFRS 16 and recording identified right-of-use assets and lease liabilities accordingly;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Deferring periodic general and administrative charges and recording related expenses on a monthly basis;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Reconciling balances with related parties on a monthly basis;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Recording invoices received from the Branch in Beirut;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Preparing payments to all the Company’s non-operational vendors;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Following up with the Company’s accounts receivable after coordinating with the head of receivables unit;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assisting with annual audit preparations;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.&nbsp;QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5+ years of accounting experience;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Working knowledge of Cyprus tax laws and social security circulars;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Working knowledge in IFRS;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong financial analysis skills;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to work with little to no supervision;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel;·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proficiency in the Greek and English languages.&nbsp;ADDITIONAL NOTESThe potential candidate will be subject to a probation period of six months from the date of employment.&nbsp;
