REYGLOBAL LTD, on behalf of our client, a leading global shipping company specializing in RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) transportation of vehicles and heavy equipment, is seeking to recruit a Compliance Manager to join their team at the Head Office in Limassol, Cyprus.The Compliance Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the Organization’s compliance strategy, working under the overall authority of the CEO of the Company.&nbsp;Roles and ResponsibilitiesRegulatory &amp; Legal Compliance·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure company operations comply with Cyprus, and EU laws, IMO, regulations and directives.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in international trade sanctions, customs laws, and environmental regulations affecting Ro-Ro vessels.&nbsp;Internal Control:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop strategic plans to implement compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Oversee the preparation and execution of compliance action plans and targets for members·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Collaborate with department heads to design, implement and enforce internal control policies and regulations that comprehensively cover all departments.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Contribute to the induction of staff members on risk management, the control framework and internal control·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Train team members to ensure compliance targets are met·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Provide regular report on compliance activities in the agreed format&nbsp;Risk Management:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify, assess, and document risks, recommending appropriate actions to mitigate them effectively.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Continuously update risk assessments and track progress on risk management strategies.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Conduct periodic internal reviews to identify and address compliance concerns.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and implement risk management strategies and action plans.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Monitor adherence to key controls across all business functions, including operations, finance, human resources, IT, and in any other area of business as relevant.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Regularly communicate regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with established guidelines.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Review corporate KYC/KYS forms for accuracy and consistency in partners’ profiles.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Conduct KYC/CDD on partners and other third parties before the initiation of a business relationship.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Screen partners and other third parties against sanctions lists and another relevant database&nbsp;Monitoring and Evaluation (M&amp;E):·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Establish KPIs to monitor compliance effectiveness.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Verify oversight mechanism and monitor tools·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop remedial plans when compliance issue arises once needed.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain thorough documentation of compliance activities.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Reporting compliance issues regularly with the CEO.&nbsp;&nbsp;Qualifications and Education Requirements·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; BSc/BA in Law, Economics, Business Administration or related field.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proven experience of a minimum of 7 years as compliance manager.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong understanding of reporting procedures and record-keeping.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Excellent communication skills.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and resolve compliance issues.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Certified compliance professional is a plus.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations is a plus.
