The Academy’s motto “To Grow and to Serve” underlies the philosophy of the Academy and encourages all children to be leading citizens and lifelong learners.&nbsp;&nbsp;We seek to recruit a full-time enthusiastic and committed Primary Education Teacher (fixed-term contract) to join our teaching team at the American Academy Larnaca Junior School.&nbsp;&nbsp;We provide:<ul><li>Competitive remuneration package&nbsp;</li><li>Creative, exciting, friendly and vibrant working environment</li><li>Personal and professional development</li><li>Dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff&nbsp;</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>To provide effective teaching of the highest order for the group(s) of children assigned by the Head teacher</li><li>To oversee the academic, physical, social, cultural, moral and spiritual development of children in the class through pastoral care and guidance</li><li>To administer day-to-day routines, procedures and rules of the school&nbsp;</li><li>To provide a first point of contact for parents of children in the class and provide a link of communication between school and home.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>University degree or equivalent, certified by KYSATS, in Primary Education or equivalent.</li><li>At least one year’s experience as a teacher in a Primary school.</li><li>Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. PGCE) will be considered as an advantage.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of the Greek &amp; English Language.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities: &nbsp;<ul><li>Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups and measurement of training effects.</li><li>Ability to select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.</li><li>Ability to monitor/assess performance of students to make improvements or take corrective action.</li><li>Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will understand.</li><li>Ability to use Microsoft office suite applications, management information systems (MIS) and training and education applications&nbsp;</li></ul>Applications&nbsp;Application form (<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://onlinerecruitment.exelsyslive.com/?c=6526F30A-3DF0-4BB5-9190-03946D698870&amp;v=VAC063">https://onlinerecruitment.exelsyslive.com/?c=6526F30A-3DF0-4BB5-9190-03946D698870&amp;v=VAC063</a>) to be submitted together with a curriculum vitae, cover letter and all relevant certificates not later than Friday, 24th October 2025.
