On behalf of our client,&nbsp;a leading organization, we are currently seeking a driven and ambitious&nbsp;Chief Accountant&nbsp;to join their team based in&nbsp;Nicosia, Cyprus. &nbsp;Chief Accountant - Ref. (5940/CA/ESS/CY) &nbsp;Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage daily accounting tasks such as billing, handling accounts receivable and payable, maintaining the general ledger, tracking costs, managing inventory, and recognizing revenue.</li><li>Make sure all records and activities follow International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local laws.</li><li>Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, including reviewing journal entries and reconciling bank and inventory accounts.</li><li>Coordinate preparation for external audits and communicate clearly with auditors throughout the process.</li><li>Create and implement accounting policies and procedures that support company goals and ensure compliance with standards.</li><li>Handle VAT and tax matters in accordance with Cyprus tax and VAT regulations.</li><li>Provide regular and special reports to help management make informed decisions.</li><li>Take on other accounting and finance duties as needed, adjusting to the team’s and company’s evolving needs.</li></ul> Requirements:<ul><li>Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field.</li><li>Professional finance certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.</li><li>At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with hands-on financial management experience in a related role.</li><li>Good command of Greek and English, both spoken and written.</li><li>Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively.</li><li>Good analytical and critical thinking skills for reviewing financial information and making sound decisions.</li><li>Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines without lowering quality.</li><li>Clear and effective communication skills, able to present information to different audiences.</li><li>Attention to detail, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities.</li><li>Comfortable using Excel and other MS Office tools for data analysis and reporting.</li><li>Familiarity with SAP and Hyperion is a plus, but not required.</li></ul>Interested candidates should apply <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://recruitcrm.io/apply/17498145266530037257vDB?source=Ergodotisi">here</a>
